Crocheting blankets for kids undergoing chemo, grilling pancakes for our Annual Pancake Breakfast, serving pizza to our homeless community, distributing food backpacks to needy families, cleaning up our streets and waterways or participating in our District Convention are just a few of the many projects we do. Our Kiwanis Club is generous with its time, creative with our ideas, passionate about making a difference and we have fun along the way!

Kiwanis Service
Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.
Our Kiwanis club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child in our community at a time. To reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities, many clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club — K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities.

Oakland Park Kiwanis held our regular meeting this morning, and we had plenty to celebrate!
Our member, Kim, and guest Claudia proudly showed off two of our newest blanket creations. We have an incredible group of talented members who make beautiful blankets and pillowcases for children in hospitals. These special creations bring a little extra comfort and happiness to children when they need it most.
Elaine Hall also shared a wonderful crocheted piece of pumpkin pie! Each resident at Treemont Assisted Living will receive one of these adorable creations. This year's pumpkin pie will be added to the holiday-themed pieces residents have received from our club over the past two years. What a fun way to continue a special tradition!
We are a very active club that welcomes new members, guests, fresh ideas, and people who want to make a difference in the lives of children and our community.
