Crocheting blankets for kids undergoing chemo, grilling pancakes for our Annual Pancake Breakfast, serving pizza to our homeless community, distributing food backpacks to needy families, cleaning up our streets and waterways or participating in our District Convention are just a few of the many projects we do. Our Kiwanis Club is generous with its time, creative with our ideas, passionate about making a difference and we have fun along the way!
The Kiwanis Mission & Vision
Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children. Kiwanis strives to be a positive influence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive.
Kiwanis Service
Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.
Our Kiwanis club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child in our community at a time. To reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities, many clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club — K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities.

We were pleased to welcome Charles Spence from Lauderdale Lakes, our incoming Lieutenant Governor, as our guest speaker at this morning’s meeting. Charles shared several important Division updates and helped us look ahead to the coming year of service.

At our June 3 meeting, we were honored to welcome our fellow Kiwanian and guest speaker, State Representative Mitch Rosenwald, who represents Florida House District 98. Mitch shared updates on the latest developments coming out of Tallahassee and offered valuable insight into the work being done at the state level. He was joined by his aide, Brian Seavitt. For anyone wishing to reach him, Mitch can be contacted at [email protected].
We also enjoyed a special introduction from Lt. James Murray, long‑time member of Oakland Park Kiwanis, who brought Deputy G. DiCarlo of BSO Oakland Park to meet our club. It’s always meaningful to connect with the officers who serve and protect our community.
Another great meeting of service, fellowship, and community partnership. ... See MoreSee Less
