The Broward Partnernership for the Homeless held their Halloween Party on October 31. Members of Oakland Park Kiwanis provided a Halloween party for the children at Broward Partnership for the Homeless. The party included costumes, a variety of fun crafts, challenging math games, a special treasure hunt to fill their buckets with trinkets, a large variety of prizes and gifts for the children to keep and also a happy Bingo game for the Moms. When a month has five Wednesdays, our Oakland Park Kiwanis club hosts an evening dinner. Tonight we met at Tequila Sunrise Mexican Grill. Our members get together for a social evening and enjoy the company of the group. Consider joining Oakland Park Kiwanis to help support the children of the community. Recent events for our club include a fund-raising pancake breakfast, collecting shoes for local school children and supplying schools in our community with academic supplies. In addition, we make blankets for children in hospitals, supply food to an assisted living center and numerous other critical activies in the commnity.
