Our Oakland Park Kiwanis celebrated some Terrific Kids at Floranada Elementary School. The third quarter Kiwanis Terrific Kids ceremony took place on Friday March 14 in the school dining room. Each year the City of Oakland Park has an Illustrate-A-Book contest with school students participating. Oakland Park Kiwanis provides a variety of help and support with this contest. This year Kiwanis donated to the Youth Services Librarian, Maria Magness: frames, ribbons and gift cards for the winning entries of the book contest.
