Kids Need Kiwanis
Our Oakland Park Kiwanis celebrated some Terrific Kids at Floranada Elementary School. The third quarter Kiwanis Terrific Kids ceremony took place on Friday March 14 in the school dining room. Sandy Berry and Diana Eustice, both Oakland Park Kiwanis members were MCs, inviting the students to walk the "Orange Carpet" as the paparazzi (their family and friends) snapped pictures! Each and every student left the ceremony with a huge smile and beautiful certificate presented by the Oakland Park Kiwanis.

Each year the City of Oakland Park has an Illustrate-A-Book contest with school students participating. Oakland Park Kiwanis provides a variety of help and support with this contest. This year Kiwanis donated to the Youth Services Librarian, Maria Magness: frames, ribbons and gift cards for the winning entries of the book contest. Oakland Park Kiwanis is always ready to help, support and reward the children of our city. Thank you, Elaine Hall, for all your work coordinating this project.
