On October 1, we say goodbye to our president of two years (and three previous years), Dennis Buchta. Dennis, thank you for your dedicated service. Our Oakland Park Kiwanis members had a busy and meaningful meeting today. We recognized our outgoing president, Dennis Buchta, with a pin honoring his dedicated service. We also learned that Dennis has served as president five times over the years — an incredible commitment to our club. Thank you, Dennis.

We were thrilled to welcome three new members: Chris Fisher, Janaina Tomita, and Geo Martos. We’re excited to have you join our Kiwanis family and look forward to your involvement in our activities.

Our club is also preparing for one of our annual projects — distributing new dictionaries to all third graders in our Oakland Park schools. Members are labeling the books now, and they’ll be delivered to the classrooms soon.
